Canada plans for 2014 : to lure more expats

The Canada’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Chris Alexander  said

“Securing economic growth is and will remain our government’s top priority. Canada is in a global competition for the best and brightest immigrants, and this plan is crafted with attracting the people we need for Canada to succeed”.

 

The plan for Canada are in two different schemes :

The first is Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and is the most popular among expats, this plan aims to bring to 15000 more foreign workers in the country, with the opportunity to become permanent.

The second scheme is the Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP). This is the second popular scheme for expats and has helped to spread immigrants also to other cities not only Vancouver or Toronto. This scheme has increased from 1250 expats to 41000 on the last year.
